Amanda Leigh (Mandy) Moore was born April 10, 1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire but two
months later moved with her family to Orlando, Florida. She's a natural blond with brown eyes,

and at age 9, she sang the national athem for sports teams in her hometown.
Mandy has been doing tv commercials and has been acting all her life. Mandy Moore is a
serious Cinderella story! She was discovered working in a recording studio, singing a theme
song to a TV show. A producer there recognized her talent, and presto--the next thing she
knew, Mandy had a record deal with Sony. According to Mandy, this is how SHE tells her
story,'I was recording my demo in the studio, and I was in the right place at the right time
with the right person watching me. He took the unfinished demo and sent it to some people
and they liked it. They set up some meetings with my parents and I. I was really lucky!'
